Christine Skaar

Christine is a Norwegian-born designer who has made the UK her home since the early 2000s.

Her work brings together the depth and character of British interiors with the clarity, restraint and functionality of Scandinavian design. Underpinning this is a distinctly pragmatic approach — shaped by Norwegian west coast values — which ensures every decision is both purposeful and enduring.

Christine founded KVIST to offer a more integrated approach to design, where architectural thinking and interior detail are considered as one. The studio works with private clients and independent hospitality brands who value a tailored, well-resolved outcome over off-the-shelf solutions.

Known for her calm, assured approach, Christine acts as both creative partner and trusted guide — bringing clarity, structure and confidence to complex projects.

Today, she leads the KVIST studio, collaborating with a carefully selected team and network of specialists to deliver refined, intelligently designed spaces across residential, hospitality and creative sectors.
